Rani tries hard to keep Vidya away from No One Killed Jessica promos

That Rani and Vidya have been sharing cold vibes since the filming of Rajkumar Gupta’s No One Killed Jessica is well-known. But both the stars and the production house (UTV) have been phoo-phooing the rumours; but given the senior actress’ behaviour it seems that Rani wants to hog the limelight on the promotional campaign of the film, completely disregarding the film’s marketing strategy that the two actresses should join hands on every platform.

They say Rani pulled a few strings and ensured that she held a Press conference all by herself on the controversy around the song Aali Re. After that, she appeared in the reality show Emotional Atyachar. And in a couple of days from now, she is slated to shoot for the suspense thriller C.I.D. Vidya was kept out from all these appearances.

While Vidya was not in the city when Rani shot for Emotional Atyachar, our source says, “She would have easily flown down for that shoot. As it is, both are traveling almost every alternate day to promote this film.

As for the Aali Re conference, Vidya had to grin and bear it since the song is picturised on Rani and not her. The day Rani is set to go for the C.I.D. shoot, Vidya is very much in Mumbai.”

When the two appear in interviews together, Rani apparently cuts Vidya midway, hardly giving the latter an opportunity to speak. The few campaigns that Vidya was supposed to do on her own have been put on hold. We hear, Rani has told UTV that Vidya should not go for any promotional campaign without her as that would send out a wrong message.

Says a source, “Lately, Rani has been very moody and unpredictable. But that could also be due to a lot of media persons asking her all sorts of questions on the recent reports that broke out about her forthcoming marriage to Aditya Chopra.”
